Jonathan Juby

With two parents who practised in medicine, the only family link that Jonathan Juby can find with the law is the membership of his great grandfather in the partnership, in the 1890s, of the London firm Holman Fenwick & Birdwood.

After completing Articles with Banks Ashton in Stowmarket and his admission as a Solicitor in 1975 Jonathan joined our firm in 1977. After a short period practising from our then Walton office he joined the Frinton-on-Sea office, and is now its managing partner.

Jonathan Juby has had an interest in stamps since the age of three and has an abiding interest in trains, both real and model: he feels that he is one of those few persons who travels by train for pleasure although, acknowledging that he is fortunate not to have to commute. Although he has travelled as far afield as (then) Rhodesia he, his wife Jane and their three children now live "inside the gates" at Frinton, thus providing him with only a short stroll to work.

He views himself as probably one of the world's most unsporting persons, with only a one year's subscription to Ipswich Town, many years ago, to his credit. However, he and his wife Jane avidly support Frinton's Summer Theatre and they are both actively involved with Walton Community Church, a non denominational Church affiliated to Ichthus Church.

He enjoys the calm of work in Frinton-on-Sea. Centrally located, our office is the largest legal practice in the town and has a long history of service to the community, with many contacts within the town and surrounding area. With six full time staff, it offers a full range of services but has found that most of its work is provided in Residential Conveyancing on the one hand and Trusts, Wills and Probate work, and advice for the elderly, on the other. The nearest court is situated at Colchester, and thus all Litigation (court work and disputes), family and divorce work is handled by our Colchester litigation department, although frequently by interviews at our Frinton office.
